Why are so many brands shifting ad spend to CTV?

People spend more time streaming than they do with cable, social media or video games, and advertisers know it. In fact, according to Advertiser Perceptions and Premion's 2026 CTV/OTT Advertiser Survey, 70% of advertisers are raising CTV budgets in 2026, with much of that budget diverted from social advertising.

For marketers who want a presence in streaming, Roku is the obvious place to go, with scale that speaks for itself. With more than 100 million households representing 47% of all streaming time in the US, Roku easily has more reach than every competitor.

With Roku Ads Manager, you can reach viewers across more than 100 premium apps in a single buy. Combine your customer data with Roku's insights to reach only the households you want, then measure and optimize to your heart's content.

How to Reply to Messages You've Been Avoiding

Open the message. Notice how late the reply is. Start composing an explanation. Close the message.

Another day passes, and now the explanation feels as though it needs another paragraph.

The unanswered question is still underneath it. Start there. Take responsibility for the delay where appropriate, then give the person something they can use.

Give the reply three jobs

Use acknowledgement + answer + next step. One brief apology can belong in the acknowledgement. A long account of your week usually doesn't answer the question.

Run the 20-minute clear: set a timer, identify important unanswered messages and work from the oldest important one. A current urgent commitment can come before an older low-impact message.

Send short replies. Decline requests you won't do. Give a date only when you can keep it. If the reply opens a bigger issue, prepare for the conversation you keep delaying.

At 20 minutes, stop and book another reply session for what remains. The timer doesn't promise an empty inbox.

Hypothetical before: Someone postpones answering an invitation while trying to explain everything that made the week busy.

Hypothetical after: "Sorry I left this unanswered. I can't make Saturday. Please count me out so you can finalize the booking."

The host gets an answer and can act on it. No invented excuse or assumed reaction is needed.

Keeping the next promise after you hit send takes follow-through: The Execution Bundle includes The 90-Day Discipline Blueprint, with weekly steps, a printable tracker and a restart plan for disrupted weeks. Its companion, 7 Steps to Change Your Life, adds direction about what you want and what needs to change. 25% off with code 25off.

Which three replies feel hardest?

You owe money or a favour. You ghosted a friend. You missed a work deadline.

For the friend, name the gap once, say you want to reconnect and offer a simple next step. Leave them room to answer without demanding reassurance.

Money and missed work need more than an apology. The amount, current status and realistic date have to be honest.
