- You’re not tired. You’re misaligned.
You’re not tired. You’re misaligned.
Burnout isn’t always from doing too much. Sometimes it comes from chasing the wrong thing too well.

Some of the most exhausted people I know aren’t burned out from overworking.
They’re burned out from executing against goals that no longer feel like theirs.
And that’s a different kind of fatigue.
It’s not physical.
It’s not even mental.
It’s emotional friction—day after day of showing up to a game you quietly stopped caring about.
The title looks right.
The income’s better than before.
The habits are dialed in.
But something still feels off.
Flat. Blurry. Low-spark.
You’re not lazy. You’re misaligned.
Most people assume burnout comes from pushing too hard.
But often, it comes from pushing on autopilot.
You’ve gotten so good at doing the thing, you stopped asking if the thing still matters.
That’s the trap of execution momentum.
You start to confuse competence with clarity.
And speed with alignment.
Here’s how to know if this is happening:
You keep “leveling up,” but it doesn’t feel like progress
You’re proud of what you’ve built, but secretly feel stuck
You’re crushing the plan, but questioning the point
This isn’t failure. This is signal.
It means you’re capable. But it’s time to check if the ladder you’re climbing is still leaned against the right wall.
Pause and ask yourself:
If I were starting today, would I be pursuing the exact same thing I’m pursuing now?
If the answer is “not really” or “kind of, but not like this”… that’s your call to realign.
Before the fatigue gets louder.
Before the momentum becomes a cage.
You don’t need to blow it all up.
You just need to start telling the truth to yourself again.
