Motivation is a scam
You don’t need to feel inspired. You need to move.

Let’s cut the crap:
If you're waiting to feel motivated before taking action, you're already losing.
Motivation is not the spark. It’s the result.
Most people get this completely backwards. They sit around waiting for some mystical surge of inspiration to strike. Then they wonder why they’re still stuck.
Here’s the truth:
Action creates motivation. Not the other way around.
You don't think your way into movement. You move your way into momentum.
Why You Never "Feel Like It"
Let me guess: You wake up, scroll a bit, check your email, get distracted, then tell yourself you’ll start when you "feel ready."
You won't.
That ready feeling? It's fiction. It’s your brain trying to protect you from discomfort.
And the longer you wait, the harder the start becomes.
Want to change that? Stop waiting. Start before you're ready.
The 5-Minute Rule That Rewires Everything
Here’s a tool I give every stuck client:
The 5-Minute Rule
Commit to just 5 minutes of the thing you’re resisting. No pressure to continue. Just start.
5 minutes of writing
5 minutes of movement
5 minutes of building
Nine times out of ten, those five minutes turn into 30. And even if they don’t? You still won. You showed up.
That’s the rewire.
You stop being the person who thinks about it. You become the person who starts regardless.
The Real Enemy: Mood-Based Behavior
Here’s a hard pill:
If you only do things when you feel like it, you're a slave to your mood.
And moods are liars. They shift with sleep, food, weather, tweets.
You can’t build anything meaningful on something that flimsy.
So what’s the alternative?
Behavior-based identity. You do the thing because it’s what you do, not because it feels good in the moment.
